Dr. George Vithoulkas

 

George Vithoulkas is professor at the University of the Aegean, honorary professor at the Moscow Academy of Medical Sciences, professor at the Kiev Medical Academy and also collaborated with the Basque Medical University (2001-2004).

 

In 1996, he was honored with the Right Livelihood Award (known as the Alternative Nobel Prize). In 1995, he established the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy on Alonissos, Greece, of which he is director. Every year, during the summer months, groups of doctors from various countries gather to be trained at the Academy.

 

From 2005 to 2008, the University of the Aegean (www.syros.aegean.gr) in cooperation with the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy, had been offering a program of continuous education in homeopathy for doctors, dentists, veterinarians and pharmacists. Two years ago, the government recognized a master’s degree program at the University of the Aegean for doctors and dentists titled “Holistic Alternative Therapeutic Systems – Classical Homeopathy,” with the participation of Vithoulkas and the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy. Vithoulkas is a peer reviewer in the Medical Science Monitor and has written many textbooks on homeopathy, translated into 20 languages.
